The Parish Stewardship Commission serves as a standing Commission of the Parish Pastoral Council. This Commission is advisory and consultative to the pastor and collaborates with all other commissions and committees of the parish to ensure the ongoing life-long education, formation, conversion and facilitation of stewardship as a way of life within the lives of individual parishioners and the parish as a whole.
Stewardship Commission Member
Become part of the commission that works with the pastor and parish staff along with other commission members to give direction to the parish, Help create long and short-term goals for the parish. Time commitment is 1.5 hours for monthly meeting. Other meetings may be necessary throughout the year.
Sharing Committee This committee considers requests for the allocation of the parish tithe of collections (amount to be determined by the Finance Commission and Pastoral Council). First preference for funds is given to people in need within our parish and community and to non-profit organizations. The Stewardship Commission is consultative to this group. Time commitment is 1 to 1.5 hour quarterly meetings.
Altar Society Member: This group provides the materials needed for the Mass and the celebration of the sacraments. They organize fundraisers to cover the costs of hosts, wine, flowers, candles, linens, vessels, vestments, etc. They also oversee the cleaning of the church. Time commitment: monthly meeting and other seasonal duties as they arise.
Altar Society Church Cleaner: Altar Society volunteers keep our worship space clean on a weekly basis. Volunteers offer light cleaning of the church including vacuuming, dusting, and polishing. Time commitment: Once per week on a flexible rotating basis.
Altar Society Palm Sunday Bake Sale Baker: Volunteers that are willing to prepare their favorite baked goodies. Volunteers are also needed to assist with set-up, pricing of baked goods and the sale of the items. Time commitment varies as a baker, set-up assistance would require approximate 1.5 hours per Mass once a year.
Prayer Line: Become a part of a prayer chain, praying for others according to special prayer requests received. When a request is received by the parish, a series of phone calls, e-mails, or texts ensure that intentions are being prayerfully presented to God. Time required –flexible, daily.
Council #2740 Member: The Knights of Columbus is a service organization for Catholic men, 18 years of age and older. The Knights are active in charity and service throughout the parish and community and support vocations to the religious life. Involvement in the Knights is a chance for personal growth, responsibility , and leadership. Time commitment varies.
Ladies Auxiliary Member: The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary is both a social and charitable organization of women who are wives, mothers, daughters or sisters of a Knights of Columbus who are in good standing. Time commitment varies.
